The three main airports to fly into when traveling to Koh Lipe are Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
From Bangkok, you then need to fly to Hat Yai. From Kuala Lumpur, you can fly to Langkawi. From Singapore, you can also fly to Langkawi.
You can also reach Koh Lipe by flying to Phuket or Krabi.
From Pak Bara
Officially, the first speedboat from Pak Bara to Koh Lipe departs at 11:30 am, while the last one leaves at 1:30 pm. In high season, there is a speedboat at 9:30 am. From Pak Bara piers, speedboats are available all year.

From Bangkok
Plane
Fly to Hat Yai Daily flights depart from the capital to the south of Thailand. You can choose to fly direct flights to Trang or Hat Yai airport; from there we can arrange transfer to Pak Bara harbor by minibus or taxi.

We recommend taking very early morning flights to reach Koh Lipe during the day.
From Hat Yai airport there are minivans every day, departure time 9am and 11am.
From Hat Yai city there are minivans every day, departure time 8am and 10am.
Bus
There are several buses heading towards the south; you can choose to get to Trang or Hat Yai, and from there continue by minibus to Pak Bara pier. Another option is to take the bus to Satun, get off at La Ngu (40 km before Satun), and then take a local taxi for 25 baht which will bring you directly to Pak Bara pier.
We advise traveling by night bus, arriving at your destination in the morning and reaching Koh Lipe during the day.
Train
From the train station in Bangkok, night trains depart every day. We recommend booking your ticket in advance with direction Trang or Hat Yai. Once you arrive at either destination, you must take a minibus or taxi to Pak Bara pier.
From Trang
From Trang city or airport, there are daily minivans or taxis to Pak Bara pier. During the high season, there is one daily speedboat from Hat Yao pier to Koh Lipe.
From Ao Nang-Krabi
From Ao Nang or Krabi, there are daily minivans to Pak Bara pier.
From Phuket
There are Phuket connections to Koh Lipe by sea, available only during the high season, which runs from late October to mid‑May. During this period, there are daily departures by speedboat.
From Phuket, you can also reach Pak Bara by taxi or private minivan. The taxi is the fastest option, but there are also daily buses departing from Phuket Town toward Krabi, Trang, and Satun.
From the islands of southern Thailand
To get to Koh Lipe from the smaller islands, you can use the speedboat and ferry departing from Phuket, as they dock along the trip at Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Koh Kradan, and other smaller islands.
From Malaysia
From Kuala Lumpur, take a morning flight to Langkawi with Airasia or Malaysia Airline. From October until the end of May, there are daily ferries from Langkawi to Koh Lipe — from November until the end of April, there are two ferries daily, morning and afternoon.
